Large deciduous tree, summer harvest truffle
Deciduous oak. Grows into a large tree. Has been used widely in Australia as a reliable host for truffles. Although not the famous French truffle this is another black truffle that is sweetly favoured and produces from January to March. The soil must be maintained at a pH of above 7.5, using agricultural limestone.
