Large deciduous tree, easiest truffle to produce

Deciduous oak. Grows into a large tree. Has been used widely in Australia as a reliable host for truffles. The bianchetto white truffle is native of Italy and harvests from May to early September. When young it is whitish in colour and ages to a coffee colour on the outside and is pale internally. The aroma is slightly garlicy, earthy and mild. It is used in cooking similarly to the Italian white.
