Large deciduous tree, easiest truffle to produce

Deciduous oak. Grows into a large tree. Has been used widely in Australia as a reliable host for truffles. The bianchetto white truffle is native of Italy and is often confused with famous Italian white truffle. It harvests from May to early September. When young it is whitish in colour and ages to a coffee colour on the outside and is pale internally. The aroma is slightly garlicy, earthy and mild. It is used in cooking similarly to the Italian white.
